1. Starved Rock State Park
Starved Rock State Park is a wilderness area on the Illinois River in the U.S. state of Illinois. It’s known for its steep sandstone canyons formed by glacial meltwater. The park is on the south bank of the Illinois River, a major tributary of the Mississippi River, between the Fox and Vermilion Rivers. Unique, seasonal waterfalls are active in the spring and after heavy rains.

3. Ulysses S. Grant Home
The Ulysses S. Grant Home in Galena, Illinois is the former home of Ulysses S. Grant, the Civil War general and later 18th President of the United States. The home was designed by “William Dennison”. The house was designed in the Italianate style. On 19 December 1960, the Grant Home was designated a National Historic Landmark.

5. Willis Tower
The Willis Tower is a 110-story, 1,451-foot (442.3 m) skyscraper in the Loop community area of Chicago in Illinois, United States. It was designed by architect Bruce Graham and engineer Fazlur Rahman Khan of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). The Willis Tower observation deck called the Skydeck is located on the 103rd floor, 1,353 feet (412.4 m) above ground level, it is the highest observation deck in the United States and one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world.
