Carlsbad Caverns National Park is an American national park in the Guadalupe Mountains of southeastern New Mexico. The primary attraction of the park is the show Cave Carlsbad Cavern. Carlsbad Cavern includes a large limestone chamber, named simply the Big Room, which is almost 4,000 ft (1,220 m) long, 625 ft (191 m) wide, and 255 ft (78 m) high at its highest point. The Big Room is the largest chamber in North America.

The pueblos are considered to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States. On 9 October 1960, The pueblo was designated a National Historic Landmark. The north-side Pueblo is said to be one of the most photographed and painted buildings in North America.

The park is located in northwestern New Mexico, between Albuquerque and Farmington, in a remote canyon cut by the Chaco Wash. The park is on the Trails of the Ancients Byway, one of the designated New Mexico Scenic Byways.
